Banned Books Display
The Library is celebrating banned and challenged books throughout the
month of
October.
What is the difference between a banned book and a challenged book?
A challenge is an attempt to remove material from the library. It is an
attempt to restrict the access others have to those materials. Banning
is the actual removal of materials from the library.
Which books were challenged most often in 2007? Come to the 2nd
floor of the library to see. Check a few out to read and judge them for
yourself.
