Five members of the Sac City Football team signed contracts to play the sport next season at four-year universities during a special ceremony in the Press Box at Hughes Stadium on Friday morning.
It brings to seven the total number of Panthers, fresh off their East Bay Bowl victory over Diablo Valley College, who have committed to university football teams.
In the front row, George Stone III (left) will play linebacker for the University of Idaho, Russell Williams will play linebacker for University of Hawaii, and Jordan Ares will play quarterback/wide receiver for Mayville State in North Dakota. In the back row, Jacob Lovelace (left) will play offensive line for Lyon College in Arkansas, and Jordon Boyer will play offensive line for Midland University in Nebraska.
In addition to the five students above, Isaiah Taylor has agreed to play defensive back for University of Idaho, and Henry Enyenini will play running back for University of Illinois.
Congratulations to these Panthers!
