African American Leadership Conference Draws Over 100 Participants

The SCC West Sacramento Center hosted the first Yolo County African American Leadership Conference for middle and high school students on Saturday, February 6.

More than 100 participants and their parents from the four school districts in the Yolo County. Students had the opportunity to participate in several workshops that included Leadership Development, Empowerment, College Success, Career Planning, and Hope and Healing.

The Yolo County Office of Education and the University of California Davis led the planning and organization of the conference.
