Congratulations to SCC Admissions and Records Supervisor Kim Goff, who was named one of four California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office State Classified Employees of the Year.
Kim, whose many hats include running the commencement ceremony each year, has been an employee in the Los Rios District since 1993, and at SCC since 2002.
The following is the biography sent in as Kim’s nomination for this prestigious annual award.
Kim Goff is an Admissions and Records Supervisor and has served the district for 22 years. Kim is a highly-motivated and committed individual who has consistently dedicated her time and career efforts to help both current and past students reach their academic goals. Her outstanding leadership skills and high level of knowledge has allowed her to perform the duties of her primary area of responsibility at Sacramento City College and has contributed to the leadership of major projects benefiting the four colleges of the Los Rios Community College District. Kim played a large role in the development of the Sacramento City College’s Veteran Resource Center, along with many other student based projects within the district. She began her career with the Los Rios College District in 1993 and her career with Sacramento City College in 1998 as a Clerk II in the Student Services division. She later advanced to positions that allowed a higher level of engagement in college services and operations, and later accepted her current position in Admissions and Records in 2002. Kim is committed in providing a diverse work environment, along with opportunities for students to develop skills that will aid them in the transition from college to employment. Kim has been recognized as an exceptional role model by her colleagues and has been labeled as a go-to person to resolve a variety of issues.
