The Sacramento City College Art Department is pleased to present, as part of the campus-wide Centennial Celebration, an exhibition featuring historical and archaeological objects from SCC during the past 100 years.
Dr. Bill Doonan, professor of archaeology at SCC, undertook the project to glean through massive piles of stuff that has been collected throughout the years and decide on 100 objects that reflect the rich history of this college. He published a book entitled “A History of Sacramento City College in 100 Objects” as part of the college’s centennial celebration. The book is available to purchase at the Kondos Gallery, the College Store and the SCC Foundation Office for $25.
This special exhibition will be in the Kondos between October 11 – 26, with the opening reception at noon on Oct. 11. The Kondos is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday evenings from 4 to 7 p.m., and by appointment. It will also be open during the Open House and Fair on October 15.
