SCC Choir Sings at Tree Lighting Event

On the evening before Thanksgiving, the Sacramento City College Choir had the honor of singing at the Old Sacramento Tree Lighting Event.

More than 2,000 people attended the annual event, including Mayor-elect Darrell Steinberg and Councilwoman Angelique Ashby. Sixty SCC students and faculty were present and handed out carol books and encouraged the audience to join in singing carols.

Camille Cobbs, Old Sacramento events and merchants coordinator, was thrilled to have the choir help set the festive mood.

“You all were definitely the stars of the show and we hope to host you again in the future!” she told the choir.
