Learning Together at the IEPI Summit

A team of faculty, classified staff and administrators worked with a group of community college peers Dec. 7 and 8 to develop an Institutional Effectiveness Plan that will help steer guided pathways for students for the foreseeable future. It’s all part of the Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative, or IEPI, a statewide grant for community colleges through the state chancellor’s office.
About six weeks ago, a team of professional peers came to Sac City and spent a day listening to a variety of people about the needs and desires to incorporate better student pathways. The outside team then developed a series of options from other institutions that have been successful in this area for Sac City to discuss and possibly try to emulate.
From that menu of options, Sac City will develop its Institutional Effectiveness Plan and apply for a $200,000 implementation grant from the state.
