Help the YoloFood Bank alleviate hunger and malnutrition in Yolo County
by donating non-perishable food items.
Drop off your donations in the bin in the main hallway of the Davis Center
Donate as much or as little as you can!
About the Yolo Food Bank:
Since 1971, the Yolo Food Bank has served the local community by gathering and delivering food to the needy in Yolo County.
Why Help?
- Due to the bad economy, food donations have been down about 35% in 2008, while the need for donations is increasing.
- 38.3 million people in the United States experience food insecurity.
- One in eight children go hungry in the United States ( only 14% of Americans know this).
Commonly Needed Items:
- Canned Soups & Stews
- Tuna/ Canned Meat
- Peanut Butter
- Low Sugar Cereals
- Boxed Fruit Juice
- Canned Fruit & Vegetables
