Candace Judson
As Director of Operations for BloodSource, which provides blood and services for nearly 5 million people throughout 25 Northern and Central California counties, Candace Judson oversees the collection team, including twelve donor centers and bloodmobile operations in the greater Sacramento region. Judson held other leadership roles at BloodSource, including Charge Nurse, Director of Training & Education and Director of Satellite Collections. Prior to joining BloodSource in 1998, she worked as a Health Education Specialist for the Butte County Public Health Department in Chico, Calif.
Judson has a master's degree in Nursing from Samuel Merritt College, a bachelor's degree in Community Health Education from CSU, Chico and an associate degree from American River College. She is a licensed Public Health Nurse and has a passion for teaching and mentoring nursing students. She supports local nursing programs through guest lectures, innovative curriculum development, grant partnerships and internships at BloodSource.
Candace lives in Orangevale with her husband, daughter and two Bull Mastiffs. "I welcome the opportunity to continue serving the Los Rios community as a proud board member of the SCC Foundation," said Judson.

Michael Wong
Michael Wong immigrated to the US from Hong Kong in 1963. After graduating from Sacramento High School, he attended the University of California at Davis and completed his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. He also attended Sacramento City College. He worked for Aerojet, and over the next 20 years was promoted from Associate Engineer to Senior Engineering Management. He was responsible for managing defense and aerospace programs and won numerous NASA and company awards. Wong holds several US and international patents. While working full-time at Aerojet, he also attended evening classes to complete his MBA degree.
Michael left the aerospace industry after 20 years to pursue a career in financial services with New York Life. As an agent, he led the company in sales. He was named the New Associate of the year and won the prestigious Pacific Zone Eagle Awards in both life and annuity sales. After one year in sales he was appointed to Sales Manager, then to Partner and eventually to Senior Partner, overseeing Northern California operations.
In 2010, Michael retired from management and joined his wife, Janice, in her financial firm. They have two sons, Jordan, a school teacher, and Clement, who is in the armed forces currently stationed in Iraq. In his spare time, Michael enjoys reading and relaxing on a cruise.
