The SCC scholarship application process is closed for 2013. Students who have completed a total of 12 units at SCC by the end of each fall semester and who are enrolled in at least 6 units for each spring semester meet the basic criteria required to search for scholarships. Individual scholarships may have criteria specific to that award, and students should apply only for those scholarships for which they are qualified.
SCC scholarships are established by college staff, faculty and administrators, and by members of the community, including businesses and individuals. These donors give nearly 200 scholarships each year to SCC students. They give to honor former teachers, to memorialize a loved one, to help a student in a particular field of interest--there are many reasons for donors to establish scholarships. The SCC scholarship season opens once each year, beginning in January and ending in early March. Awards are made in May. The SCC Foundation is proud to administer these scholarships to foster student success.
