NEW ANNOUNCEMENT
FOR THE SCC EXTENDED CAMPUS NURSING
The Associate Degree Nursing Program will be implementing major curriculum changes that affect nursing semester units, pre-requisite courses, and content taught in each semester. Curriculum changes will be phased in beginning in Fall 2012 and will continue through Spring 2013. Gerontology content is being added to the entire program, in addition to nutrition, human development, and cultural diversity. Each nursing course will be 12 units. The nursing website will be updated during the summer of 2012 to reflect these changes. The new application and selection process, including the Test of Essential Skills (TEAS) Version 5, will continue to be utilized. You are welcome to come to our Information Meetings that will resume in January 2012.
