Welcome back, students! Please review these important reminders for a successful semester.

Remember to:

Pay your fees – Don’t miss your deadline to pay your fees or you will be dropped from your classes! You can check when your fees are due by logging in to your eServices.

Check the prerequisites for your classes – Check your class schedule. If you have not met a prerequisite for your class, you will need to do so before taking the course.

Plan ahead –

o   Buy your books as soon as possible, so you don’t fall behind in your coursework. 

o   Locate your classes. Keep in mind that some SCC classes are held at outreach centers in Davis and West Sacramento.

o   Arrive early to find a parking spot. Traffic can be heavy at the beginning of the semester, so give yourself extra time to park and walk to class. Be prepared and get your parking pass before the first day of class. You can also take advantage of your UTP sticker and use Regional Transit. 

If you are on a waitlist, attend the first class meeting – If you miss the first class, you will lose the opportunity to add the class.

Drop classes ASAP to avoid a “W” grade – If you decide not to attend a class, sign in to eServices to drop the class within the first two weeks of school to avoid getting a “W” on your transcript.

Seek tutoring early in the semester – Don’t hesitate to get tutoring help if you are struggling in a class. SCC has wonderful tutoring services if you need them.
