The Los Rios Center for International Trade and Development (CITD) will be awarding $1,200 in scholarships to three deserving students at the end of the semester. Students who are enrolled in BUSTEC 350, taught by Professor Smedley, will compete for the scholarships by writing business plans for their virtual businesses. Each plan will be judged by a panel of judges and the top three winners will receive $500, $400, and $300 respectively to be paid in two installments. The first half will be awarded when the winners are announced. The second half will be paid once the winners have provided documentation to show that they have legally and formally established their businesses.
