The CalWORKs Counselors are here to help you develop an Education Plan that will allow you to stay in school and receive CalWORKs benefits. In addition to designing attainable Education Plans, CalWORKs counselors can help:

• Assess your talents, abilities & interests
• Ensure your college success
• Explore your career goals
• Provide you with resources/referrals that resolve barriers with which you may be confronted

REMEMBER: ALL ASSSESSMENT TESTS (MATH, READING AND WRITING) MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE TIME OF YOUR FIRST COUNSELING APPOINTMENT OR YOU CANNOT BE SEEN AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED. IF YOU HAVE TAKEN ASSESSMENT TESTS OUTSIDE OF SACRAMENTO CITY COLLEGE YOU WILL NEED TO BRING IN THE RESULTS TO YOUR FIRST COUNSELING APPOINTMENT. ALSO, IF YOU HAVE TAKEN ANY CLASSES AT ANY OTHER COLLEGES OUTSIDE OF LOS RIOS DISTRICT WE WILL NEED UNOFFICAL COPIES BY THE TIME OF YOUR FIRST COUNSELING APPOINTMENT. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
