Start here for some suggestions from Health Services that may have special rates for Los Rios students. Then use the worksheets CA Medical Association Health Plan Checklist or CA Office of the Patient Advocate to compare insurance plans. Remember to consider your unique health needs and budget.
What if I can't afford health insurance and I get sick or hurt? You can come in to SCC Health Services for a consultation to help you decide if you need to see a doctor or not. We can then assist you in finding a health resource in the community if needed. You can also look on the Community Resources page of this site to pick a health provider that fits your needs.
Are you older than 23, younger than 26 and don't have health insurance? If so, as of Sept. 23rd 2010 you are elegible to continue or to reinstate your health insurance through your parents plan.
