Sacramento City College is officially accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The University of California and all other accredited colleges and universities give full credit for appropriate courses completed at Sacramento City College. The college holds institutional memberships in the American Association of Community Colleges and the Community College League of California. Additional accreditation has been granted by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the California Board of Registered Nursing, the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians,
the Dental Board of California, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the California Board of Cosmetology and Barbering.
