Summarizing, Quoting, and Paraphrasing

Many courses ask students to use summary, direct quotes, or paraphrases to present other writers’ ideas and relate these ideas to their own opinions. This workshop helps students understand the similarities and differences between these three writing skills and gives students practice using them. This new adaptation, by college faculty member Adrienne Sher, begins City Theatre’s season-long celebration honoring the college’s centennial; all mainstage productions will explore early 20th Century storytelling. Pirandello’s classic that originally premiered in 1921, will open on Friday, September 23, and play through Sunday, October 16.  Performances are at 8:00 p.m. on Fridays…
