Fiber Arts Week at the Innovation Center

Join us for Fiber Arts Week, from March 25 through 29, a celebration dedicated to all things fiber arts! This is your opportunity to immerse yourself in the textile arts, learn new techniques, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. In collaboration with the Folsom Lake College Sewing Club, we're diving deep into the world of needle felting, sewing, embroidery, and beyond. The Sewing Club meets in the Innovation Center every Wednesday, 2:30 to 3:30 pm.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just curious about fiber arts, this week has activities to inspire your creativity. Get hands-on with our mini looms and community loom set up throughout the week. We've got laser-cut mini looms ready for you to create your own fiber arts masterpieces. Plus, contribute to our ongoing community loom project. It's a fantastic way to get into weaving and see your work become part of something bigger.

Music in the Quad with the Music Production Club

Date: Tuesday and Wednesday, March 26 and 27
Time: 12:00 to 1:00 pm

The Innovation Center's very own Music Production club will be performing music live in the quad to kick things off this week. Swing by to listen to some amazing music and show your support. If interested in getting involved in the MPC, feel free to chat with the members at the performance or come to a meeting! Meetings are in the Innovation Center on Fridays, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Pattern Making with the Sewing Club

Dive into the basics of pattern making in this introductory workshop led in collaboration with the FLC Sewing Club. Learn how to craft patterns that could be the foundation for your creations in our end-of-semester fashion show. No need to bring anything—just your enthusiasm and ideas!

Fun with Felting

Date: Thursday, March 28
Time: 12:00 to 1:00 pm

Explore the world of needle felting! We'll guide you through creating cute little pals, from frogs to bees or other little figures. It's a perfect way to learn a new skill and make something uniquely yours.
