SCC Campus News

Everything you need to know to get your Student ID and Universal Transit sticker!

Did you know that as an SCC student, you have access to
UNLIMITED PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION?

Let us tell you how!

  • Have you paid ALL your fees and tuition? (If you qualify for a BOG fee waiver, you still need to pay the Universal Transit Pass fee! Library fees count, too!)
  • Do you have a valid Picture ID?

If you answered YES to these two questions, beginning JANUARY 3, you will be eligible to get your Student Access Card and UTP sticker, which will enable you to enjoy unlimited access to Sacramento's Regional Transit (including light rail!) and Yolobus during the entire semester!

Questions? We have ANSWERS!

  • Is there a cost?Yes. Every student pays a small fee as follow: $5 per semester for fewer than 6 units; $10 per semester for 6 to 11.9 units; $15 per semester for 12+ units. Yep. That's it!
  • I qualify for the BOG fee waiver. Do I still need to pay?Yes! But don't worry, it's an even smaller fee! From $2.5 to $7.5, depending on the number of units you're taking!
  • How do I pay my fees?So many options! You can visit the Business Office and pay right then and there... or you can do it from the comfort of your couch, by logging in to eServices! If you pay online, check later to make sure your payment has posted before getting in line to get your Student Access Card and UTP sticker! If you pay on the same day, be sure to bring your receipt with you!
  • Ok! I paid my fees and I have a valid ID with me. Where do I get my Student Card and UTP sticker? Check out the locations and dates below! Don't forget to bring your ID with you!

GOOD TO KNOW:

  • For you to enjoy unlimited public transportation, your UTP sticker must be renewed every semester (keep in mind that there is no UTP sticker for Summer), but you have to HOLD ON to your Student Access Card! It's also your Library card. You get one (1) free card per academic year. If you lose it, replacing it will cost you $5.
  • If you drop your class(es), your refund will include your UTP sticker fee. Just be sure to drop the class(es) before the deadline . $5 will be withheld if you have already received your Student Access Card.
  • If you want to replace a lost or stolen sticker, go to Business Services (first floor of Rodda North) and pay the $15 replacement fee. They'll issue you a new sticker.
  • If you want to replace a lost or stolen UTP and Student Access Card, go to Business Services (first floor of Rodda North), pay the $20 combined replacement fee. Business Services will give you your new sticker and will let you know where to get your new Student Access Card.
  • If your card and sticker are damaged, bring them both to a Student Access Card location and they will be replaced for free!
