Deadline:

Appeal for Dependency Override

Federal legislation bases financial aid eligibility on the assumption that students and their parents are primarily responsible for paying their educational costs. By law you are a dependent student for federal financial aid purposes if the directions on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) instruct you to provide parent’s information. This will apply to situations where the student’s physical or emotional welfare is jeopardized by contact with the parents. If you feel your circumstances warrant review for independent status, submit this appeal by this date.

Oct 21

Deadline:

Appeal for Special Circumstances

Your financial aid eligibility was initially determined based on the information you reported on your FAFSA regarding your prior year income. However, if you have experienced changes that have created extraordinary circumstances, this process will enable you to request a review of your situation. Our review may result in a change to your EFC and increased eligibility. Any changes to your award will be based on funding available at the time of review, and will be retroactive to the beginning of the school year. You must submit this appeal by this date.

Oct 27

Loan request for Fall

Students who wish to receive a loan must submit their request by this date. Requests received after this date will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Failure to meet the deadline may result in a denial of a loan.
