Interior Design California Community College- FCS
The Interior Design curriculum is designed to provide a multi-level program of study for students interested in pursuing employment in Interior Design, Merchandising or careers in related fields. Courses within the curriculum provide part of the undergraduate requirements necessary for students transferring creditis to a program of study in Interior Design at a four-year institution.

American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)
The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is a community of people — designers, industry representatives, educators and students — committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, we strive to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives. Our 28,000 members engage in a variety of professional programs and activities through a network of 48 chapters throughout the United States and Canada. California Council for Interior Design Certification (CCIDC)
To establish and implement professional standards and educational requirements, educate the public, and facilitate interior design professional’s compliance with our standards and code of ethics in order to provide for the protection, health, safety and welfare of the public.
Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC)
The mission of The Interior Design Educators Council, Inc. is the advancement of interior design education, scholarship, and service.
IDEC will be recognized as the leading association and authority on interior design education by:
- Advancing responsible design thinking through education, scholarship, and service.
- Advancing the interior design profession’s Body of Knowledge.
- Participating in leadership discussions and actions that affect the entire design community.
- Being the primary source of innovative interior design teaching resources.
- Being the leading venue for the publication, presentation, and dissemination of interior design scholarship.

Retail Design Institute (RDI)
We are the retail industry’s creative professionals and we were founded in 1961 to be a collaborative community where ideas, knowledge and passion would be shared at a local level and enable our members to fulfill the fast-paced planning and design needs of retail. Today, our membership includes architects, graphic designers, lighting designers, interior designs, store planners, visual merchandisers, resource designers, brand strategists, educators, trade partners, editors and publishers, and students.
Society of Architectural Historians (SAH)
The Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) promotes the study, interpretation, and conservation of architecture, design, landscapes, and urbanism worldwide for the benefit of all. SAH serves a network of local, national, and international institutions and individuals who, by vocation or avocation, focus on the built environment and its role in shaping contemporary life.
