Pat is currently serving as GCOM Department Chair (on temporary hiatus, Fall 2016). He has been a 3D modeler, animator and editor in the computer animation and visual effects industry for over 8 years. Starting off as a research assistant for John Knoll at Industrial Light and Magic, Pat worked his way through the computer animation industry eventually finding his home at MTV. There, he served as the Post-Production Supervisor for the 3D Animation department and oversaw the production of a computer animated series called Video Mods.

Pat also worked as the lead modeler and animator for a series of commercials for Coke, Mike’s Hard Lemonade and Debers Diamonds. He recently finished working at Peppers.TV as the Senior Editor and Technology Geek.

Pat brings to Sacramento City College a wealth of practical production experience, real-world techniques and a passion for 3D art and animation. He is an Apple Certified Instructor, and the biggest Apple fanboy you will ever meet.

Pat holds a B.A in Digital Media from CSUS and recently completed his Masters in Education (Educational Technology) also at CSUS. When not spending time with his beautiful wife and son, Pat can be found cruising down the American River bike trail or researching alternative motion-capture animation techniques.
