Information Technology

Information Technology maintains and supports over 2500 computers for faculty, staff, computer labs and classrooms for the College, including our Outreach Centers.

Additionally, IT staff provide programming, network and infrastructure services. Network and Infrastructure functions include maintenance of the college’s LAN, servers, applications, and databases. Responsibility for the security and integrity of the information systems and networking at SCC is shared by the SCC Information Technology Department and the LRCCD Technology Department.

Information Technology Staff

  • Wireless

    SCC faculty, staff, and students can connect to our network using smartphones, tablets, or laptops.
    The name of the SCC WI-Fi network is LRCCD.

    SCC owned faculty/staff computers come with standardized software installation shown in the list below. There are three additional software resources geared toward addressing your production needs.

  • Hardware

  • Computer Network

    Computer network services provided by the college include access to college and district information technology, as well as Internet access.

  • Computer Labs

    To assist our students in reaching their educational goals, SCC provides labs on campus designed to enhance and aid their coursework. Each lab offers specific services to students.

  • Information Security

    Information Security practices that protect student, faculty, and staff data are prescribed by Federal and state law as well as district policies and regulations.

  • Website Design & Maintenance

    Website Services include account creation, setup assistance and online assistance for WordPress and Alfresco.

  • Programming

    Programming Services are available to develop limited scope systems that support college functions.
