Answer:
One

BUT I am enrolled in more than one of your online courses…

Answer:
Attendance at only one orientation is required.

You may attend any of my orientations during the first week of the semester.

What if I have successfully taken online classes in the past….?

Answer:
If you have successfully taken an online class prior to this semester (and received a C or better) you may be excused from the “mandatory orientation.” I do expect you to

  • Review:
    • “Course Syllabus”
    • “Course Information ppt”
    • “Using D2L for Our Course ppt”
  • Take Our Course Orientation Quiz
  • Submit the D2L Free Sample Class “Certificate of Completion” to our Class Dropbox.

I CAN'T ATTEND the orientation time for my class! What can I do?

Answer:
1.  IF YOU ARE ENROLLED in one of my classes, you can choose to ATTEND ANY ORIENTATION TIME that works best for you… during the first week of the semester.

A students who is going to take advantage of this option must be sure to sign the class roster for their course(s) when you arrive at orientation.

2.  If (for a valid reason):
(a.) the above Orientation options do not work for you, AND
(b.) you have successfully taken an online course prior to this semester, (for which you received a C or better),
AND
(c.) you are enrolled in the online course, you may satisfy the orientation requirement by doing the following:

i.) View the “Course Information” and “Using D2L for Our Course” Powerpoints on the course website (see course links).
ii.) Complete the Free Sample Class inside of D2L. (See “Where do I find the D2L Free Sample Class?” above).
Then, when our Class opens:
iii.) SUBMIT the D2L Certificate of Completion AND
TAKE our Class’ Orientation Quiz.
