Beacon PAL Learning Groups

A Beacon PAL is a trained peer tutor who meets with you, the instructor, and then facilitates group study sessions with students in your class, focusing on the content areas you want covered.  The group sessions usually occur twice weekly.  In addition, you select the student who becomes the peer Beacon Pal tutor for your class or classes. If you want to participate in the program, please complete the Beacon Application and return it to Loretta Richard  in the Learning Skills and Tutoring Center, LRC-151.  The application process must be completed before a Beacon Group can be formed to ensure the tutor will be paid properly. For more information, please see FAQs BEACON or contact Loretta Richard, Coordinator of the Beacon Pal Learning Groups Program, (916) 558-2183 or email
