Electronic Tutorial Referral

Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations requires community college students to have a referral for tutoring from an instructor or counselor.  Now, however, you no longer need to sign referrals for individual students; you can refer all of the students in your classes simply by selecting the convenient radio button located in Intranet (Rosters/SOCRATES) on the page listing all of your classes.  In the center, we will receive electronic confirmation of your referral, and your students can be scheduled to see a tutor or take advantage of walk-in tutoring.  It is just that easy to refer, and your referral is valid in all of the labs that collect apportionment from the state for tutoring, in case your students need to participate in more than one lab in order to be successful in your class.
