Build Our Collection

Help us build the strong Library collections—books, media, and electronic resources—students need to succeed in their coursework.

How to Help

The library needs your suggestions. When you learn of books or electronic resources that would support your curriculum and help your students accomplish their goals, let us know! Some strategies to follow:

  • If you have specific requests, you can contact your departmental librarian directly by email, phone, or campus mail.
  • Note topics that your students are having trouble finding sources on and send to the library.
  • Invite your departmental librarian to a department meeting to discuss the collection process and identify needs.

Departmental Librarians

When you have input or questions about library collections or services in your department, or suggestions for new books or other resources to support students in your classes, please contact your departmental librarian, organized below by division.

Note: To discuss selection of DVDs and other media for any department or area, please contact Nicole Woolley (916-558-2509).
