I have been teaching sociology at Sacramento City College since 2004. I enjoy teaching a variety of classes in the department. I’m currently chair of the Sociology Department, direct the Community Studies Program (CSP), coordinate Service Learning and co-advise the Sociology Club.
I lived most of my life in the very small town of Blackfoot, ID. I attended college and received my BA in Political Science from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR near Portland. I received my MA in Sociology from UC, Davis. I have lived in Sacramento area since 2001, and I really enjoy our community.
Please stop by my office some time and visit me. I enjoy having conversations about power, inequality and social action. I have two children, so I’m also completely obsessed with talking about all types of issues from poop to theories of socialization.
