All prospective students are strongly encouraged to attend a program information meeting. This will give you the opportunity to learn many details about the program and ask questions specific to your situation.
NOTE: TRANSCRIPT REVIEW IS NO LONGER DONE AT THE INFORMATION MEETINGS. PLEASE SEE COUNSELING FOR ASSISTANCE. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU MEET WITH A COUNSELOR PRIOR TO ATTENDING THE INFORMATION MEETING SO THAT YOU HAVE A CLEAR PICTURE OF YOUR INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION PLAN. For a full educational planning session, you will need to meet with a general counselor. To maximize your time during this meeting, it is best to have attended a program information session. In addition, it is recommended to have completed your assessments for reading, writing, and math competencies if you have not already met these through course work or degrees you have completed.
For educational planning sessions with a counselor, you will need to make an appointment. While any counselor should be able to help you, Angelia Jovanovic is the counseling liaison for allied health programs. Please do not contact her directly. For information about scheduling appointments, hours, etc., refer to the Sacramento City College counseling webpage.
OTA 100 – Introduction to Occupational Therapy. This course is an introduction to the practice and profession of occupational therapy. It is not a substitute for a program information meeting. Logistics for entering the program and related requirements are not addressed as part of this class.
