Semester Term

Northern California Study Abroad Consortium (NCSAC)

AIFS Partnership Programs are a division of the American Institute For Foreign Study (AIFS). AIFS was founded in 1964. Since then, over 1.5 million students have participated in our educational and cultural exchange programs. Over 6,000 American college students study abroad each year with the AIFS College Division—approximately 2,000 of these are on customized, faculty-led programs organized through the Partnership Programs Division.

Study Abroad Contacts

The Northern California Study Abroad Consortium (of which the Los Rios Community College District is a member) teaches our own academic program abroad, using our own faculty, curriculum and style. The AIFS Partnership works closely with us to coordinate support arrangements leaving students and faculty free to enjoy their overseas experience without concern for the complex, time-consuming practical arrangements that a successful study abroad program demands.

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age
  2. Must have completed at least 12 units of college credit before the semester they study abroad
  3. Must be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.25 grade point average
