Welcome to the Sacramento City College Accreditation Web Page. Institutional Accreditation is public certification that institutions meet defined standards of quality and responsibility.

The next Accreditation site visit will be in October 2009. This self study will be written in 2008/09 using the current 2002 standards.

A pre-self study committee was formed in Spring 2007 to identify areas still needing to be addressed in the time remaining before the self study begins.

Sacramento City College (SCC) completed its last Accreditation site visit on October 16, 2003. This Accreditation process used the 1996 standards. This was also the first time the college went through Accreditation simultaneously with the other colleges in the Los Rios Community College District. The Evaluation Report and letter Re-affirming Accreditation were received in January of 2004. SCC received affirmation of re-accreditation without conditions.
