Phi Theta Kappa graduates may wear approved Phi Theta Kappa regalia during Commencement. Graduating registered members of PTK may purchase PTK recognition items at the College Bookstore. PTK members may wear the golden, monogrammed honors stole, honors cord and honors tassel at Commencement as part of their academic regalia.
Since 1929, the American Association of Junior Colleges has officially recognized Phi Theta Kappa as the National Honor Society for Junior Colleges and the Association of Honor Societies. The purpose of PTK includes the promotion of scholarships, the development of leadership and service, and the cultivation of fellowship among qualified students.
Project Graduation
The Honors Club is collecting canned goods, children's books, baby food and formula from graduating students. Sacramento Food Bank barrels will be placed around the campus for collection during the week of commencement. There will also be receptacles in the South Gym on the night of commencement. The food and formula go to Mary House, a shelter for homeless women and children. Please bring your canned food donation either the week of graduation or to the commencement ceremony!
Feed a body, feed a mind.
