SCC’s Waste Diversion ProgramSCC's Waste Diversion program began in 1999 as a response to AB75, which mandated that state facilities divert at least 25% of their solid waste from landfills by 2002 and 50% by 2004.
BiologyThrough some lecture and lots of field work (day trips, overnight/week-long camping trips), instructors are teaching students the fundamentals of ecological processes as a basis for understanding environmental problems and formulating strategies for their solution.
