Severe Weather or Floods:
Upon receipt of a forecast or actual warning of severe weather or the potential for serious flooding in the area, the SCC Emergency Operations Center will convene to direct necessary preparations to secure the campus to the maximum extent possible. This will require recall of police and custodial personnel to assist with sand bagging area, securing moveable objects and other potentially hazardous equipment or vehicles.
If the school is in session, campus evacuation will be considered by the EOC and directed as necessary.
If the weather situation develops after hours or on weekends/holidays, the senior College Police patrol will contact the Director of Operations or Vice President of Administration to determine if the EOC should be convened to handle the situation.
