Bomb Threat

Bomb Threat Procedures:
If you receive a threat of a bomb-DON'T PANIC! Try to obtain as much information from the caller as possible: Exact location of the bomb, time set for detonation, what it looks like, what is the explosive, why was it placed there and record exact wording of the caller and time call was made. Attempt to ascertain the number from where the call was placed. Take notes about any voice characteristics you can recall.

Instructional Services Office
(8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Mon.-Fri. and 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Saturday)

Administrative Actions
To be determined by the Director of Operations or Vice President of Administration.

NOTE: During evening hours when neither of the above individuals is available, the Evening Duty Administrator and Lead College Police Person will decide.

PLAN A: No evacuation of building: No action taken. Business as usual.

PLAN B: No evacuation of building or area: Preliminary search by designated SCC Teams, pending further instructions.

PLAN C: Evacuation of specific area: Moving all occupants to specifically designated safety point. Bomb search by professional detonation team. SCC Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be activated.

PLAN D: Total evacuation of all buildings, service areas and grounds: (clear campus). Bomb search by professional team. SCC Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be activated.

Note: The SCC EOC will coordinate actions in plan C/D with local law enforcement and/or EOD personnel.
