  •  PRIORITY TWO for new non-matriculated, returning or transfer students:
    •  May 12 - May 18, 2008

On March 18, SCC is introducing a new version of eServices, which includes a new look and feel. You can still search and enroll in classes, pay your fees, and get your class schedule. How you do these activities will be different like the "shopping cart" so SCC hopes you'll find them easier to accomplish? If you need help in navigating, visit B-153 for help. You are only fully registered once you have paid for the courses. Always double check your final class schedule for full-time registration.

There is nothing you need to do. You will receive e-mail with information from the College. You will be able to see how your new access looks and will also receive information to explaining the new steps to follow in order to enroll in classes.

Submit every semester your Supplemental Form: Update your supplemental Form using same name as passport and I-20, choice # 6 in your eServices Student Center account. When updating your personal information, make sure you select your major which must be same as on SEVIS I-20 Form and Student Educational Planner---DO NOT SELECT UNDECIDED OR NO EDUCATIONAL GOALS!

Health Insurance Hold:  International (F-1 status) students at SCC are required to have medical insurance coverage and it must be valid in the United States.  Details available at the SCC Health Office;  make sure you show proof of Health Insurance Coverage before your enrollment day;  it must be cleared with SCC Health Office, Pat Cousin (916) 558-2367 .  If you wish to use another plan, you must provide proof of purchase for the entire year and you must provide a list of benefits (written in English) offered by the plan for approval. 

Optional Practical Training (OPT): Apply 60 daysBEFORE last day of spring semester May 21, 2008

New SCC Spring 2008 Students: Newly accepted SEVIS International Students who have not picked up your newly updated SCC I-20 Form which also requires your signature must come immediately. Why? When traveling overseas, you need to use your updated SEVIS I-20 Form signed by SCC P/DSO that shows that you are a continuing or active student at SCC.

Going overseas this summer? For re-entry to the U.S., bring your updated SCC I-20 Form, passport and Student Educational Planner for review by Susan Fong-PDSO approval signature three weeks BEFORE semester ends. (ISC is in the process of hiring replacement counseling clerk.)

F-1 Orientation

F-1 accepted students are required to attend the mandatory F-1 student orientation. Students will receive a SCC class schedule, catalog and student guide during the Orientation session at the beginning of each semester. Class schedules are available online at http://www.losrios.edu/class-schedules.html

Fall 2008 F-1 & F-2 Orientation:  Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm.
