SCC Hotspot Network (scc_hotspot)
The SCC HotSpot wireless network is our premier wireless network that provides access to the Internet to all faculty, staff or student. In order to access this network you need to specify your Los Rios username (W+Student/EmployeeNumber) and your eServices password.

SCC Guest Network (scc_guest)
The SCC Guest wireless network provides Internet access for community members (non Los Rios employees or students). SCC employees must create an account for a guest before access is granted. Only Los Rios employees can create the guest accounts.

SCC Admin Network (scc_admin)
The SCC‐Admin wireless network provides access to the Internet and to Los Rios internal network resources, e.g., file servers, printers, Outlook email, etc. Access to the SCC‐Admin wireless network is available only to Los Rios employees. This network requires user authentication and provides strong network security and privacy. Access to scc_admin is made by request only. Please call the SCC HelpLine at extension 2222 to request wireless access.
- Up to date virus protection on computer you are using to connect to the admin network
- Wireless card capable of using 802.1x EAP for authentication and WPA/WPA2-TKIP or WPA2-CCMP for encryption.
Please note that we do not work on personal equipment. We can only provide the instructions describing how to connect using Windows XP. If you are trouble connecting we can only verify the wireless network working by using District equipment.
