Panthers Win Home Opener

The SCC Panthers Football team came from behind to beat San Joaquin Delta College of Stockton 28-25 on Saturday night in the first game of the season at Hughes Stadium.

Sac City scored the game’s last 18 points, including a 19-yard field goal by freshman kicker Elijah Siermering with just 9 second left in the game to seal the win.

Tyree Hanson rushed for 148 yards on 22 carries, and scored two important touchdowns for the Panthers, who will next play Contra Costa College at 1 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 10 in San Pablo.
