Are Your Spring Courses Eligible for Financial Aid?

Students who have not yet enrolled for Spring 2017 need to be aware that financial aid will only fund courses that are part of their major, general education and/or transfer, including basic skills, prerequisite, and ESL courses.

Once enrolled, students may receive a notification in their eServices account regarding courses that are ineligible for financial aid. Students who have questions about this should stay enrolled until they have met with a counselor.

Please note the campus is closed for winter break from Dec. 23 through Jan. 2. During this time, counseling appointments can be made online for when the campus reopens.

The BOG FEE waiver (called California College Promise Grant as of Fall 2017) is not affected. If a student has been awarded a BOG Fee Waiver, it will cover the enrollment fees for all courses, even those not required for the student’s major. However, the student’s total financial aid award may be reduced.

More information about financial aid course eligibility is available online.
