Welcome to the fall semester Panthers!
There are many ways to get to the Sacramento City College campus including driving, walking, biking, and riding regional transit. Some important information and updates on transportation to the campus and parking are included below. Or you can visit the parking and transportation page.
Take advantage of the affordable parking pass offered at $40 per semester–or $30 with a BOG FEE waiver (called California College Promise Grant as of Fall 2017). You can purchase a parking permit at the Business Office in Rodda Hall North 173 916-558-2321.
Permit Parking is enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Please be aware that many of the streets surrounding the Sacramento City College campus require City of Sacramento “L” parking permits. City of Sacramento Parking Enforcement does routinely check this area and will issue tickets to people parked in “L” zones without an appropriate permit as well as cars parked longer than the designated time in the park. An SCC campus parking permit DOES NOT allow for on-street parking and is used only for the designated SCC campus parking lots. Find a student parking lot.
Parking for people with disabilities is available throughout the campus. All parking spaces are clearly marked with standard blue color and signage. Students who park in disabled parking are required to purchase a Daily Parking Permit or Semester Permit. Failure to do so will result in a citation. Parking in these spaces is strictly enforced. A blue or red handicapped placard or handicapped license plate is required and MUST be visible when occupying a handicapped space on campus. To utilize a handicapped placard to park in a white/student space or yellow/staff space on campus, the applicable student or staff permit must be visible along with the handicapped placard/plate. (LRCCD Regulation 2252 and Ed Code 54100).
Don’t want to drive? Take advantage of the nearly $300 in savings for a Regional Transit Pass as an SCC student. Get the UTP sticker on your Student Access Card and take any Regional Transit bus or Light Rail in Sacramento, Yolo, Folsom, El Dorado and Elk Grove.
Approximately 500 bicycle parking spaces are located at several sites on campus. You are not required to buy a parking permit for bicycles. All bicycles should be locked to bicycle racks only.
Nearly 40 bicycle lockers are available for rent for $18 each, plus a $10 refundable key deposit, per semester. Bicycle lockers may be rented through the Business Office. All students are required to walk, not ride, their bicycles in the quad area.
