Chicano, Latino Male Students Connect with Community Mentors

Sacramento City College’s Chicano and Latino Male Scholars Dinner on Friday, Dec. 8, was a hit!

About 150 Chicano and Latino male students and community leaders attended the dinner, which aimed to connect mentors with students who have shown potential for success. The dinner provided a unique networking opportunity for students who would greatly benefit from increased engagement with local leaders and industry partners that have shared similar experiences and overcome challenges to achieve their goals. This supports and motivates these students to succeed in their classes and consider transferring to four-year universities.
