Come celebrate and honor the earth with us on Wednesday, April 24!

Local green organizations, campus clubs, food trucks and more will be out on the Quad from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be live performances at noon.

Additionally, there will be an e-waste collection. Bring items such as computers/laptops, screens, phones, printers, cables and cords, and household appliances to recycle! Not only will you earn karma points, but we’ll also give you a free bagel (while supplies last) and a chance to win a $25 gift card!

Sacramento City College – Beta Eta Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa will be hosting its Spring induction ceremony on Saturday, May 5, to welcome and honor new inductees.

The event will also be a celebration of Phi Theta Kappa international honor society’s 100th anniversary!

PTK is an honor society for two-year colleges, whose main mission is to recognize academic achievement of college students and to provide opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders. This year, PTK turns 100 and the Beta Eta Psi will be celebrating this anniversary at the ceremony!

For new members and inductees: All new inductees who accepted their membership are welcome to attend.

For members and alumni: If you are already a member but have not attended the ceremony yet, PTK will be happy to induct you into the society. Send your name and “W” ID to register.

Sacramento City College – Beta Eta Psi Chapter, will be hosting its Fall 2017 induction ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 2, to welcome and honor these students.

Phi Theta Kappa SCC Chapter Students

It has been seven years since Sacramento City College Phi That Kappa chapter has held the revered status of the Five Star Level. As of 2017, Beta Eta Psi has regained this recognition and achieved the highest honor in Phi Theta Kappa International Society demonstrating their involvement in the region and in international activities and events.

SCC Phi Theta Kappa – Beta Eta Psi also won first place for Honor in Action theme 2, and was awarded for Community Project and Chapters United.
