LRC 105 –
This interactive training covers the basics of Trauma-Informed Care. Participants will learn how to define trauma, identify different types of traumatic events, and develop an understanding of the effects of trauma on individuals and communities. In addition, participants will be introduced to the principles of a trauma informed approach within the classroom context and student services setting and have opportunities to discuss how it applies to their particular work setting and roles. This training will also focus on vicarious trauma, professional quality of life, and self-care strategies for those that support student development.
