Descriptions

Cal Grant CC Deadline

Students who want to be considered for a Cal Grant from the California Student Aid Commission for Community College students only, must complete a FAFSA, GPA verification, and be enrolled at a community college by this date.

Cal Grant GPA Verification

GPA verification must be submitted to the California Student Aid Commission by this date for statewide Cal Grant consideration.

Cal Grant Recalculation Date (CRD)

The amount of your Cal Grant eligibility will be based on the units you are enrolled in on this date.  Students who add classes after this date will not receive a Cal Grant for the late-added classes.  Students who received Cal Grant funding prior to this date and dropped classes may be required to repay based on their current enrollment on this date. No adjustments will be made after this date.

Consortium request

Students who are attending another college within Los Rios Community College and want the financial aid office at your home school to consider the other college units for payment must submit a request by this date.

End of the term file completion

Students seeking financial aid for this term should submit all requested documents by this date. Failure to complete your financial aid file by this date may forfeit your aid eligibility for this term.

Enrollment cut off

In addition to completing your file by the “File Completion” deadline, students must be enrolled in their courses that start at the beginning of the term to receive aid the first week of the semester. Students who add courses after this deadline may not receive payment for the courses added in the first week of classes. Students will not receive grants until the courses have started.

Enrollment cut off for first Fall payment

Be sure you have also completed your file by the “File Completion for Fall” deadline.

Enrollment cut off for first Spring payment

Be sure you have also completed your file by the “File Completion for Spring” deadline.

Enrollment cut off for first Summer payment

Be sure you have also completed your file by the “File Completion for Summer” deadline.

First Disbursement

The amount of financial aid eligibility will be based on the units students are enrolled in on this date.
***The above statement may not apply to high EFC students.
After the first disbursement, as files are completed, subsequent disbursements will be made every Friday (excluding campus closures).

First Loan Disbursement

The first loan disbursement for all students enrolled in more than six active Financial Aid eligible units and have completed the entire loan request process. Less than Half-time students are not eligible for disbursement.

Last day to Appeal Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Eligibility

Students who wish to submit a Financial Aid Appeal due to lack of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) must submit their request by this date. Requests received after this date will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Failure to meet the deadline will result in denial of the appeal.

Loan Request

Students who wish to receive a loan must submit their request by this date. Request received after this date will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Failure to meet the deadline may result in denial of a loan.

Priority FAFSA Filing

Students may still submit a FAFSA after this date, but priority is given on a first-come-first-serve basis. Additionally, students may not be considered for Cal grant if they file after the March 2nd Deadline.

Priority File Completion

To ensure students are awarded aid the first week of the semester or the first week of attendance of classes, students must turn in all required documents and meet all eligibility standards by this date.

Recalculation Date (PRD) (Award Eligibility date)

The amount of your Pell Grant eligibility will be based on the units you are enrolled in on this date. Students who add classes after this date will not receive a Pell Grant for the late-added classes. Students who received Pell Grant funding prior to this date and dropped classes may be required to repay based on their current enrollment on this date. NO adjustments will be made after this date.

Second Disbursement

The amount of financial aid eligibility will be based on the units students are enrolled in on the Recalculation date.
