Instructional Development

As you know, D2L goes away at the end of the fall semester.  You will not have access to D2L or any of your course content contained therein after January 8th.  For recordkeeping and archival purposes, you should pull the following materials from your course shells:

It is strongly recommended that before January 8th you:

  • download your gradebooks from the last 3 years of courses taught
  • download your syllabi from the last 3 years of courses taught
  • export any course files you wish to keep (Word Documents, PowerPoints, PDFs, etc.)
  • export any other course content built within D2L you wish to keep (quizzes, discussions, etc.).

It is also recommended that you export any course materials (Lessons, Assignments, Activities, etc.) that you’d like to keep for future use. If you already have master copies of these documents stored elsewhere, there is no need to download them from D2L.

You can export your gradebooks to an Excel spreadsheet by following these directions.

You can export course files (Syllabus, Word Documents, PowerPoints, etc.) by following these directions.

You can export a D2L Course Content Package by following these directions.

If you need help with any of this, please contact David Martin (martind@scc.losrios.edu) or Brian Pogue (pogueb@scc.losrios.edu).
