The Library offers numerous services aimed at supporting the college’s educational goals.

  • Textbooks on Reserve

    The library has a large number of textbooks available for 2-hour reserve. Electronic reserve for some courses is also available. Start your search and learn more about this service.

  • Borrowing Books and Other Items

    Information on requirements for checking out books, placing requests for books at other Los Rios colleges, returning books, and fines.

  • Interlibrary Loan

    Using this service, you may borrow books and acquire journal articles that the Sacramento City College Library and other colleges in the Los Rios District do not own.

  • Computers, Printing, Scanning, Wi-fi

    The second floor of the LRC has approximately 35 computers available for student use, along with 2 printers and 5 photocopiers.

  • Ask A Librarian

    Librarians are ready to help you with your research needs. Contact us in person or via phone, email, instant message, or social media.

  • Research Appointments

    Schedule an individual research session with an experienced reference librarian. Sessions will last up to 30 minutes.

  • Group Study Rooms

    Six rooms are available on the 2nd floor of the LRC for group study. Learn how to reserve them and what rules apply to them.

  • Special Collections (Archives)

    Special Collections collects records of the college, unique local artifacts, and other materials documenting the history of the college and surrounding area.
