Canvas Training

Canvas Webinars
These live, 1-hour, webinars cover dozens of different topics and are offered 5 days a week. From Canvas Course Basics, to Peer Collaboration, there are workshops for all skill levels. New topics are offered each day, so choose a few to fit your schedule. They’re free, and you can watch them while sitting poolside! Start here to create an account and view the Canvas Webinar schedule.

Training videos by Lynda.com
These step-by-step tutorials give clear instructions on how to perform many of the basic tasks in Canvas. The tutorials are free to access and you may watch them in any order.  It will take approximately 2 hours to watch all the videos. Click here for instructions on how to gain access to Lynda.com. 

Canvas tour videos
This Canvas course contains a series of short videos that give comprehensive overviews of the most commonly used Canvas tools. Less like “tutorials”, and more like “overviews” these videos (totaling 45 minutes) can be viewed in any order.

Access a catalog of over 12,000 learning modules from Skillsoft and LinkedIn Learning (now offering all Lynda content). Users can add courses to their transcripts for tracking and reporting.

Click the “Vision Resource Center” link above, log in or register, click “learn,” click “Lynda.com.”

After clicking “Lynda.com,” click “No, I’ve never had an account,” if you are a new user, and you will automatically be logged in using your Learn Academy login credentials.

Khan Academy – Take control of your learning by working on the skills you choose at your own pace with free online courses.

TED – TED is a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks.
