Mission

The Sacramento City College Learning Resource Center is an integral part of the educational programs of the college. Its primary mission is to support the classroom work, cultural pursuits, and personal development of our students, faculty, and staff.

The library supports the educational goals of the college by:

  • Providing a balanced, up-to-date collection of print, non-print and electronic resources;
  • Helping students become efficient and effective consumers of information, able to find, evaluate, analyze, use and communicate data.
  • Teaching critical thinking and information-seeking skills.
