Sacramento’s first professional soccer team, Sacramento Republic FC, will play against the L.A. Galaxy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17.

Parking around Hughes Stadium will be closed off in the morning and reserved for the game. Faculty, staff and students who will be on campus on Saturday will be able to park in lots B, C, F, and G on the west side of campus.

Republic FC had scheduled its first three home games at Hughes Stadium — April 26, May 3 and May 17 — before the team moves to its new stadium at Cal Expo, which is currently under construction.

Due to a delay in the construction schedule, the team will play one additional game at Hughes on June 7. No further games have been scheduled at this time.
