Are you graduating or transferring at the end of the academic year? Have you demonstrated a commitment to serving the SCC community or your community at large? If so, please nominate yourself for the Distinguished Service Award!
The Distinguished Service Award is one of the most prestigious awards offered at Sacramento City College and dates to the early years of the college.
Two students will be selected. This award comes with a $1,500 scholarship. Recipients will be honored in various ways including on the SCC website, in social media, and at the May 2024 Commencement.
Eligibility
To be eligible students must:
- Be graduating or transferring this academic year. Graduates from Fall 2023 are also eligible;
- Have a cumulative Los Rios GPA of 3.0 or higher;
- Have attended at SCC two or more semesters; and
- Have a proven track record of extensive service and volunteer activities at SCC and/or in your community.
How to Apply
To apply, please complete the form below. You will need to upload a transcript verifying your GPA and the number of semesters you have attended SCC. We reserve the right to interview students if needed.
Note: If you applied for this award through Academic Works (Los Rios Scholarships), you do not need to submit another application.
